2005年に公開されたサーフ映画のサントラが、トーマス・キャンベル監督の新作公開に際して再発。トータス、サム・プレコップなどのポスト・ロック勢が起用されているあたり一筋縄の内容ではないが、なかでも聴きものはジャック・ジョンソンらが本サントラのために組んだスペシャル・バンドによる３曲。海辺の心象を映したサウンドから、米西海岸に脈々と根付く文化の薫りが馥郁(ふくいく)と漂ってくる。
