ボルチモアの音大出身のコンポーザー、ダン・ディーコンは、大仰で賑やかな古典的なエレクトロの作り手であり、野心的な人物でもある。スタジオ・アルバムとしてはおよそ3年ぶりの新作が完成した。「USA」では、マリンバ、弦楽器、パーカッションにオペラっぽいヴォーカルを組み合わせている。だが、このアルバムの最大の目玉は、壮大さとかけ離れたのどかな響きの「True Thrash」だ。
